Most people I know are in the same boat. They are trying to rearrange their finances to get by with the rising costs of everything!!!
My advice is to take your summer vacation at home! Save that gas money and spend it on what makes you happy. I have a friend who just drove from Ohio to Nevada. He said the gas bill was over $400.00 dollars. I bet you can do a lot with 400 bucks at home to create a special time with your family.
As another friend of mine says: “Change it up!” Plan special events around your home. Maybe stay up all night for movie watching, or midnight walking, or all night conversation. Then sleep all day during the hot summer day. It is possible to have a special time with your family at home. Use your imagination and do what works for your family. Good luck and have some fun!
