- I have accomplished so much and I am still moving forward.
- I am doing the best that I can with the resources I have available to me.
- It is what it is.
- I do not fail. I have various degrees of success.
- I do make mistakes, but I learn lessons from them.
- I will be honest and true to myself.
- I will feel my feelings and I will not try to hide my feelings anymore.
- I will ask for help if I need it.
- I am not helpless! I will pay attention to the details of my life and take the necessary steps to progress through any crisis.
- I will not withdraw from people. I will continue to be involved and present.
- This is an opportunity instead of a threat. I will use this situation to learn something new.
- I know and trust that I will be OK no matter what happens.
- I will stay centered while speaking to difficult people.
- I will remember that he/she is responsible for their reaction to me.
- Is this situation really important enough to become upset?
- Will this matter in the long run?
- I do not have to prove anything to anyone.
- I am responsible for my behavior. I am not responsible for other people’s behavior or opinions.

- I will not make assumptions about people or situations. I will ask questions to be clear on what is happening.
